Mye: The World Elsewhere – Part Twenty Two

This morning I took the opportunity to stand up and read a poem from my upcoming collection (about which I have news) to thirty people. Though they may have done it out of politeness, they applauded with some strength at the end of this reading and one publicly announced that he enjoyed it!

It was a great leap forward for myself, as I have always struggled with confidence in public speaking. After today’s experience, I would actually quite like to do some proper poetry readings!

In Mye, the Narrator continues to speak and calls you, and us, and all the group, to keep a steady speed.

This pace we shall hold to,
If we wish to reach safety,
We must fly as the crows do,
(I say this ironically).
