The Horse & His Boy, C.S. Lewis


Have you ever read C.S. Lewis’s The Horse & His Boy? There’s the link to purchase it if you haven’t…because you should. It’s my favorite in the Narnia series so far (although I haven’t finished the series yet…).

If you have read the book, do you remember the part when Shasta comes into Narnia hungry and exhausted with an urgent message that the enemy’s army is rapidly approaching? When he does the animals of Narnia take no charge or notice. They were quite pleasant and as nice as they could be but no one took initiative to prepare Shasta food (he hadn’t eaten in a while) nor to carry the message to the Kings & Queens of Narnia.
